The DJ

Seit über 25 Jahren gestaltet Dirk Vox mit seiner breiten Musikauswahl große, kleine und private Partys. Er ist Gründungs-DJ des “Club 78”, Europas größte 70er/80er/90er Gay Party und hat seit Bestehen dieser Partyreihe (das sind mittlerweile über 20 Jahre) keine einzige Club78-Veranstaltung ausgelassen. Das Magazin “GAB” bezeichnete ihn in einem Interview einmal als die “musikalische Seele” des Club 78.

Als Resident-DJ fühlt er sich diesem Kompliment verpflichtet und sorgt mit großem Spaß für das totale Disco-Feeling.

Er kann aber auch ganz anders und passt seine musikalische Auswahl dem Publikum und dem jeweiligen Party-Motto an. Dabei läßt er sich nicht von Mainstream-Charts leiten, sondern wählt sorgfältig aus der gesamten musikalischen Bandbreite sein ganz eigenes Programm.

Wer einmal eine seiner Partys miterlebt hat wundert sich nicht, dass nach Deep House ein Schlager- oder Rocktitel folgen kann, nur um anschließend wieder zu Charts und House zurückzukehren.

Seine musikalische Schwerpunkte sind zum einen die Classics von Disco über Soul und Pop bis zu Rock, zuweilen auch mit eigenen Edits und Remixen. Als bekennender Disco-Freak schreckt er selbst vor Schlagerpartys nicht zurück.

Der zweite Schwerpunkt sind aktuelle Trends aus House, Deep, Minimal und Tribal - egal ob englisch, spanisch, französisch oder deutsch.

Abwechslung ist sein Motto, Einseitigkeit langweilt ihn. Er bleibt spontan, läßt sich von der Stimmung im Saal leiten und nimmt das Publikum mit auf sein ganz eigenes musikalisches Level.

For over 25 years Dirk Vox designed with its wide choice of music great, small and private parties. He is also founding DJ of the "Club 78", Europe's biggest 70s/80s/90s Gay Party and has since the founding of this party series (which are over 20 years now) omitted no single Club78 event. The magazine "GAB" described him in an interview once as the "musical soul" of the Club 78.

As resident DJ he is committed to this compliment, and he is working with much fun for the total Disco Feeling.

But he can also completely different and fits his musical choices to the audience and each party slogan on. In this case he does’t follow mainstream charts but selects carefully the entire musical range for his very own program.

Anyone who has witnessed one of his parties is not surprised that after a Deep House Track german “Schlager” or rock tracks will follow, only to return with the next track to Minimal or House.

His musical focus is first the Classics from disco to soul and pop to rock, sometimes with own edits and remixes. As an avowed Disco Freak he does not shrink back before “Schlagerparties”.

The second focus is on current trends of House, Deep, Minimal and Tribal - whether English, Spanish, French or German.

Variety is his motto, sidedness bores him. He remains spontaneous, is guided by the atmosphere in the hall and take the audience on his very own musical level.
